Some of the civets were very thin because they were only fed on coffee cherries, the fruit that surrounds the coffee bean.
High in caffeine
Some were obese because they could never move freely. And some were high on caffeine. Additionally, many of the civets did not have access to potable water and had no way of interacting with other civets. And they were exposed to traffic and noise from tourists during the day, which is particularly annoying for these nocturnal animals.
